Business Retention & Expansion (BREP)

Business Retention & Expansion (BREP) supports local companies by helping them grow, stay competitive, and remain in the community. Assistance may include monetary and non-monetary tools such as grants, tax rebates, fee reductions, or workforce training for businesses in high-impact sectors like manufacturing, technology, agriculture, and professional services.

Business Resources & Development

Through the ASU Small Business Development Center, businesses can access one-on-one advising in areas like planning, financial management, and marketing. Plus regular training and networking opportunities such as “Business Brown Bag” sessions and workshops are offered in partnership with local workforce organizations and colleges.

Programs & Incentives

We work with businesses to create custom incentive packages based on their goals (job creation, investment, community impact). We also help businesses tap into state & regional partnerships, tax tools, and special programs like funds for skills development, R&D, manufacturing and more.

Incentive tools may include:

  • Job Creation Grants

  • Capital Investment Rebates

  • Lease subsidies or rent incentives

  • Expedited permitting, site preparation aid

  • Workforce training reimbursements via state or regional programs
